Background and Approach

As a queer identified clinician, I’m drawn to frameworks that situate our inner worlds within the broader social and political contexts. I work creatively and compassionately, grounded in LGBTQ+, psychoanalytic, IFS, and feminist frameworks.

You can expect our work to build toward a depth that can feel hard to find or name in the fast pace of everyday life. You might be looking for a perspective that isn’t so enmeshed with the people in your life, or finding it difficult to feel truly open and trusting with others. In our work, we begin to untangle those knots and over time, bring that sense of trust back into your world outside the therapy room.

You can expect sessions to be hard work, and also often include moments of laughter, lightness, and unexpected relief.

There’s been a huge leap into AI, and many people find themselves increasingly depending on it. You might use it for emotional support, or even feeling unsure how to function without it, as if it’s becoming an extension of you. In therapy, we slow things down and begin to reconnect with your own inner wisdom. Together, we’ll build on that foundation, so that over time, you’re less dependent on external sources to move through complex emotional experiences. This happens through steady relational work that brings intellect and emotion into conversation with each other.
